We will be continuing to develop the “Biolink” the wildlife corridor in the 105 Hunters Rd area of the greater Quarry Hills park.
this area has been identified as an essential wildlife link for fauna moving between the Plenty Gorge Park, the Darebin Creek and the Merri Creek. This link is essential to the health and wellbeing of our wildlife as development pressures continue in our municipality
Last year 11,000 trees were planted in the Biolink area. In 2014 another 5,000 trees and shrubs will be planted to complement this effort and create a preferred habitat for woodland bird species.
Please come along and enjoy the opportunity to assist in this important endeavour . Please bring sturdy shoes, hat and rain coat if wet. Tools and gloves supplied. Light refreshments will be provided.
