Get involved in the conservation and protection of Darebin Creek. Regular Friends Activities include tree planting and habitat restoration clean-up days, Guest speaker and information nights and bushwalks.

Bioblitz at Cherry Street

Join Banyule’s Park Rangers for a guided wildflower walk in the Banyule Northern Grassland Reserve.

Community Planting at Norris Bank

Join the Friends of Darebin Creek and the City of Whittlesea for a day of planting to learn more about our waterways and help restore habitat for small woodland birds! 

Bundoora Park Planting

Meeting location is near carpark at end of River Red Gum Ave

Join Darebin Bushcrew in planting under the remnant red gums at Bundoora Park. We will be building on the planting that has happened through the Rewilding Program. We aim to increase biodiversity and remove pressure from significant redgums throughout the park.

National Tree Day at Norris Bank Reserve

Creek-Side Planting In Reservoir

Meeting point:

Access creek via corner of Ayr and Gronn Streets in Reservoir. Follow the signs and look for bushcrew vehicles.

Help Friends of Darebin Creek increase creek-side habitat with a planting event along the creek near Gronn Street, Reservoir. This planting will extend on earlier plantings in the area to create more habitat for animals and birds.

World Environment Day Community Planting

Kangaroo Grass Planting at Northern Grasslands
