As part of the Revegetating Darebin Creek Project, this year the Friends of Darebin Creek have planted thousands of shrubs and grasses in Arch Gibson Reserve Kingsbury with the intention of bringing back small woodland birds.
A primary focus now is to maintain these plantings through weeding, mulching, removing guards, and other activities through a monthly Maintenance Working Bees held on every second Sunday of the month.
What to bring: Appropriate footwear (boots), Gloves, Water, Hat, Sunscreen, basic hand weeding tools (e.g mattocks) if you have them.
Volunteers can just show up on the day or contact us for further information.
