This Sunday, September 7, the Friends will join the Darebin Creek Management Committee in an event held uas part of the RESET Festival – a spring festival of free, family-friendly events, workshops and art about slowing down, reconnecting with nature, and exploring sustainability in creative ways.

As part of RESET and Federation Square’s Planting Party, DCMC will host a community planting event (one of nine across Melbourne) this Saturday from 10am to 1pm at CT Barling Reserve in Reservoir, which will build on recent community efforts as part of The Darebin Creek Habitat Project – an OzFish/DCMC partnership funded by Microsoft and the Australian Government’s Urban Rivers and Catchments Program, with the support of the City of Darebin.

Join us if you can for DCMC’s final planting event of the year – a hands-on day of revegetation, habitat creation, connection and community.

Plant native seedlings to help restore the creek, build a ‘fish motel’ with OzFish to provide habitat for native fish and catch-up over morning tea (refreshments provided). Then head to Fed Square for the Planting Party! All ages welcome.
