As part of the Revegetating Darebin Creek Project, the Friends have planted thousands of shrubs and grasses in Arch Gibson Reserve, in Dunne St, Kingsbury, with the intention of bringing back small woodland birds.

After 5 years of dedicated work by Reach4 / Friends volunteers in partnership with Darebin Creek Management Committee and through them the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung Narrap Team, and with the support of Melbourne Water, the revegetation work is looking mighty good!

It’s a great time to ask: what should we do in the years ahead to help the site on its path to recovery, while freeing up more of our time to restore other needy parts of the Darebin creeklands?
